Artist’s Statement

A collaboration with artist Niels Kiene (Salventius), this series merges his intricate, single-line lace creations with my approach to conceptual portraiture.

The work explores themes of identity, concealment, and revelation. The lace functions as both a mask and a second skin, simultaneously obscuring and accentuating the human form beneath. It is a dialogue between intricate craft, human form, and the subject’s gaze.
