Artist’s Statement

If the still photography series asks you to hold the entire life of a tulip within a single image, the motion work asks something different: it asks you to watch that life complete itself, over and over, without end.

By collapsing fourteen days into a continuous loop, ’14 Days — Motion’ transforms the meditation on time into an experience of time. The bloom and the decay do not merely coexist in this work — they become a cycle, as inevitable and as beautiful as any natural rhythm.

This work exists in two forms: as a video installation for exhibition, and as a unique digital object (NFT) — bringing Khalil’s investigation of the analogue and digital into the domain of the artwork itself.
